Kenilworth Lions Club

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Kenilworth Lions Club for their incredibly generous donation of 
£3,863 towards our appeal to provide specialist communication devices for two children with autism.
The funding will help Make Them Smile provide two Via Mini 8 AAC communication devices for Julia (aged 5) and 
Pamilean (aged 9), who both attend specialist educational settings in Warwickshire.
These devices will be truly life-changing. Both children are minimally verbal and currently rely heavily on adults to interpret their wants and needs. 
Following successful trials with the equipment, their Speech and Language Therapist reported remarkable progress, including the use of new vocabulary, sentence building, and independent communication.
Access to Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) technology will allow Julia and Pamilean to express themselves more effectively, participate more fully in daily life, and gain greater independence and confidence.
As a charity that receives no government funding, support from organisations such as [Organisation Name] enables us to continue helping disabled and disadvantaged children across the UK access vital equipment and opportunities that can dramatically improve their quality of life.

Braunstone Health & Social Care Centre Spring Fete


















We would like to say a huge thank you to Shabina Adams and everyone involved in organising the recent Spring Fete at Braunstone Health & Social Care Centre on behalf of Make Them Smile.
Despite busy schedules and many competing demands, the team worked incredibly hard to make the event a success, raising an amazing £1,051.00 to support disadvantaged and disabled children and their families across the UK.
Community fundraising events like this make a real difference and help us continue providing respite breaks, specialist equipment, therapy support, and memorable experiences for children facing difficult challenges.
We are truly grateful for your kindness, effort, and ongoing support.

The Provincial Grand Chapter Of Warwickshire Benevolent Fund

Thank you to Rod Hinton, from the Warwickshire Royal Arch Benevolent Fund, for taking the time to meet with us at Wilson Stuart SEN School and for so generously presenting Make Them Smile with a cheque for £5,443.00.
This extremely kind donation will go directly towards the provision of essential equipment for two children, helping to improve their comfort, independence, and quality of life.

St Mary's Catholic Primary School

"Guess how many Jelly beans are in the jar"
The children in year 3 chose Make Them Smile as their designated charity when they held a fund raising day on Thursday the 14th of May.
They each took time to write a letter to the charity and made some lovely posters for the guess how many Jelly beans are in the jar.
The year 3 pupils have worked very hard creating their idea for the class charity and working out the cost of this.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the year 3 pupils, to everybody  that participated and a special thank you to Ms Bates for making this event possible.
